The Roanoke Center to host free financial education workshop Nov. 14
Roanoke Electric Co-op member-owners and community members are invited to attend a free financial education workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at The Roanoke Center in Rich Square.
The workshop, “Building a Financial Foundation,” will focus on budgeting and savings techniques, how to maintain a healthy credit rating and how to avoid losing money to credit card fees. Representatives of ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union will lead the training session, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm.
During the morning session, instructors will offer presentations, lead discussion and answer questions on practical topics, such as understanding credit basics and the fundamentals of creating and sticking to a budget. The afternoon session will provide participants the opportunity to meet one-on-one with presenters.
Lunch is included in the day-long workshop and is also free to attendees.
