The Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress Phase 2 (RCPP2) convened its quarterly meeting on Friday, June 9, at Roanoke Electric Co-op’s headquarters. RCPP2 is a local collaborative effort of community partners led by the co-op. Partners gathered to hear updates about one of the co-op’s most valued projects – Roanoke Connect.
Cooperative Difference Survey Overview
TSE Services, in coordination with Roanoke Electric Cooperative and Touchstone Energy, has initiated a market research study to better understand how different generations and segments of electric cooperative member-owners view their electric provider and how cooperatives can better communicate the value of cooperative membership. Member-owners of Roanoke Electric Cooperative will be randomly selected to participate in this telephone survey, so please help us better serve you by answering a few opinion questions if you are selected for the survey.
This year, dozens of rural electric cooperatives from across the country will participate in the
study. Survey results will help us:
• Identify overall satisfaction and value propositions by member-owner segment
• Measure impact of member-owner and community engagement activities
• Determine the strength of the relationship between member-owners and your co-op
• Examine uses of new technology (smart phones, tablet computers)
• Evaluate best methods for receiving and distributing communications during outages
Target Audience & Member-Owner Communications
This year’s study will target the opinions of residential member-owners.
Residential Member-Owner Segment
For the past decade, the Cooperative Difference survey has gathered important feedback from the residential member-owner segment. In 2015, TSE Services will complete interviews with residential member-owners from various age groups from each participating cooperative.The survey is expected to last no more than 15 minutes.
Residential member-owner telephone interviews will be made primarily during weeknights from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Weekend calling will be limited to Saturday only. No Sunday calling is permitted on this study. Bellomy Research uses the words “Opinion Counts” as their Caller ID code. All survey calls from our data collection center originate from area code 336.
